Marseilles Village Council met in special session Dec. 26. In old business, Holcomb Excavating will be working on the village drains when the weather permits, Phillips Lawn Care will be mowing the village park next year for the same price as this year and the Wyandot County Mayor’s Breakfast will be held on March 12, 2019, at the Angle Back Just One More in Marseilles.

NEW RIEGEL — Clouse Construction Corp., a leading design build contractor in Northwest Ohio, recently was honored at the Excellence in Construction awards during the Associated Builders and Contractors reception held at the Hilton Downtown in Cleveland. The excellence in construction award competition recognizes outstanding quality and innovations.

Tammy Jeffrey, RN, of Sycamore has been promoted to assistant vice president of nursing services at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Jeffrey has worked at WMH for more than 18 years in the Specialty Healthcare Center and maternity and emergency departments.

Sharon Frisch, a licensed practical nurse at Fairhaven Community, a United Church Homes community, has been recognized with the Living UCH Values Award for 2018. Megan Bair, CNM, joined the staff at her hometown hospital, Wyandot Memorial Hospital, as a full-time healthcare provider for obstetrics and gynecology. “I’m so honored to be working in a community that gives me the opportunity to impact women of all ages,” Bair said. “I love that Wyandot will give me the platform to provide compassionate care and lead women toward better health.
