Marseilles alumni attend banquet

MARSEILLES — The 70th Marseilles alumni banquet recently took place at the Marseilles Firehouse with 84 members and guests present. Shirley (Young) Halm and Jayne (Kennedy) Potts registered attendees, and Connie Jacobs welcome members and guests.

Pantry Palooza aims to go ‘no waste’

CAREY — The ninth annual Pantry Palooza is set for 1-6 p.m. June 26 at the Waterworks Park pavilion in Carey. The event is a benefit for the Carey Food Pantry and Carey Link community center. It will feature local bands, an art show, games and food.

USHS students of the month

Upper Sandusky High School has announced the recipients of the student-of-the-month award for April and May. The award is sponsored by the Upper Sandusky Lions Club, which donates a certificate and gift card for each winner.

Crawford County OGS to meet Thursday

GALION — The next meeting of the Crawford County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 16 at Peace Lutheran Church, Galion. The program will be given by Al Fulton, who will portray Ralph Jolly of Seccaium Park; and Jan Fulton, who will portray Catherine Quaintance.

Supporting teachers

The Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International recently donated a gift certificate from a local business to Kelly Winters (center), a first-year kindergarten teacher at Mohawk Elementary School.
