Support group to meet

The Wyandot County Prostate Cancer Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. July 12 at 7 p.m. for an open forum on topics of interest to those in attendance. The meeting will be in the Bowman and Kirkland conference rooms on the lower level of Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Meeting to include planning for Wyanstock

The next meeting of the Wyandot County Young Professionals is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds, 10171 Ohio 53, and will include planning for the group’s major fundraiser, Wyanstock, on July 2. Those who are available to volunteer at Wyanstock are asked to attend the meeting, if possible.

TIFFIN — Classic Tiffin, the most recognizable glass pieces produced in Tiffin according to the Tiffin Glass Collectors Club, was the topic of the group’s recent monthly meeting. Ed Goshe moderated the program and shared recognizable features on a variety of pieces brought in by attendees and from museum archives.

Red Cross fundraiser set for July 29

FINDLAY — The Marathon Petroleum Red Cross B*A*S*H, an annual fundraiser to benefit the North Central Ohio chapter of the American Red Cross, is scheduled for 6-11 a.m. July 29 on the grounds of the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts in Findlay.

The Andersons awards $78,000 in scholarships

MAUMEE — The Andersons Inc. has awarded $78,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors living in communities in 19 states where the company has operations. As a part of The Andersons’ community commitment and support of education, the company awards a $500 scholarship to a senior who is selected by the principal at each respective school.
