Bluffton U. announces dean’s list

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University recently announced its dean’s list for the spring semester. Paul Frey, of Kirby, and Justin Mattix, of Upper Sandusky, were named to the list. To be eligible, a student must maintain a 3.6 or higher GPA.

The Wyandot County Council on Aging recently arranged an overnight trip to Cincinnati and Newport, Kentucky. The group visited a luncheon cruise on the B&B Riverboat, the Newport Aquarium, the Cathedral of the Assumption Basilica, Cincinnati Museum Centers and Jungle Jim’s.

Park picnic scheduled

The Wyandot County Council on Aging will host its annual picnic in the park Friday at the white shelter house at Harrison Smith Park. Cornhole and fishing will begin at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.

Meeting minutes: July 22, 2015

Members of the Beta Chapter of Tri Sigma Sorority recently gathered for their July meeting at White Shutter Winery. Owner Cindy Kraus gave the group a tour of the winery, explaining how it was started, what grapes they grow and the wine-making process.
