Boating safety course offered

CRESTLINE — A boating safety and beginner canoeing class is set for 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at Bucyrus Neff Reservoir, located on Ohio 98. The program, sponsored by the Crawford Park District, will begin with a boating safety lesson, followed by a canoe float around the reservoir.

Judge to speak to Hardin County Dems

KENTON — Judge Randall Basinger will be the featured speaker for the Hardin County Democrats’ annual kickoff dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Goshen Grange Hall, 18977 CR 120, located at the corner of Hardin County Road 120 and TR 205 east of Kenton.

Nevada UMC plans police-community relations cookout

NEVADA — Nevada United Methodist Church will participate in the National Night Out by hosting a community cookout beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to the National Night Out website, it is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live.
