DEFIANCE — Summer break ends for thousands of Ohio children this month as they go back to school in the coming weeks. The Ohio State Highway Patrol has been in the process of inspecting every Ohio school bus to ensure each is safe to transport children to and from school and school-sanctioned events, according to a press release from the Defiance post.

Bucyrus natives selected as RAs at Heidelberg TIFFIN — A team of 31 upperclass students has been selected to serve as resident assistants for the upcoming academic year at Heidelberg University.

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties currently is accepting applications for volunteers in Wyandot County. CASA volunteers are appointed by juvenile court judges to represent the best interest of abused and neglected children in court.

St. Peter School will host its annual open house from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday. The open house will begin with a brief welcome and introductions of faculty and staff.
