Humane Society: September 27, 2016

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Sept. 22 and is correct as of that date: Pets reported as missing since the previous report that have not been found include a spayed female tiger cat, a neutered male tiger cat, a large brindle male pit bull mix, a spayed female brown chihuahua, a tri-color neutered male rat terrier, an older tan boxer-Jack Russell mix, a black male Labrador and a black male Pomeranian.

Individuals in recovery give back

It is no news that drug addiction and mental illness are serious problems in our communities. Many scientific methods and treatments were implemented in the area served by the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties to help individuals who struggle with an active addiction or mental illness.

Fall play date set

Wyandot County Help Me Grow and Women, Infants and Children are teaming up to offer their fall play date from 12:30-2 p.m. Oct. 6 at Harrison Smith Park. The play date will include fall activities for youth birth through 5 years.

Honey Creek Jazz Band to return

SYCAMORE — The Honey Creek Preservation Jazz Band will return to the Pitman-Stoner Auditorium at the historic Melmore Town Hall at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 as part of a grand reopening. A new furnace and air conditioning units have been installed at the 1910 Eden Town Hall, which has been purchased by the Mohawk Historical Society.
