Madyson Paige

Alesha Franz and Dakota Feasel, both of Tiffin, are the parents of a girl, Madyson Paige. She was born at 9:36 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 in Findlay. She weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 21 inches long. The maternal grandparents are Nate and Heather Franz, Upper Sandusky. The paternal grandmother is Wendy Fox, Tiffin.

Free vein screenings at hospital

General surgeon Dr. Peter Schuler will provide free vein screenings from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 and 19. The screenings will include a brief varicose vein risk factor questionnaire and consultation with Schuler.

Friends of lib. to meet

Friends of the Upper Sandusky Community Library will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the library basement to discuss plans for this year’s Secret Santa Shop. The meeting also will include discussions of shopping dates and the layout due to the shop being moved into a larger room.

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Sept. 15 and is correct as of that date: Pets reported as missing since the previous report that have not been found include a red male chow mix and a female black Labrador puppy.

UF speaker to address privacy in 21st century

FINDLAY — Nominated as the 2016-2017 Wilkin chairman, Dr. Paul Chwialkowski will be the first presenter for the University of Findlay’s College of Liberal Arts’ Wilkin Chair Events. Chwialkowski will speak from 8-9 p.m. Wednesday in Winebrenner Theological Seminary.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Historical Society will share some of its collection of hundreds of vintage pictures from the Sycamore Community Pool at 7 p.m. Thursday at the shelter house at Veterans Memorial Park. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Sycamore community swimming pool took place June 13, 1966, according to the historical society.
