BUCYRUS — Wynford High School and Junior High recently released the names of students who were named to the honor roll for the first nine weeks of the 2016-17 school year. Students are listed by grade level. An asterisk indicates all A’s.

BUCYRUS — Wynford Elementary School has released its honor roll list for the first quarter of the 2016-17 academic year.

Wynford Middle School has announced the most recent Royal Leaders award winners, who are nominated by staff who observe them completing an act related to the book, “7 Habits of Highly Successful People” by Stephen Covey.

BRANSON, Missouri — The Wyandot County Council on Aging’s Seniors on the Go recently returned from a weeklong trip to Branson, Missouri. While there, members of the local traveling club attended several shows, including some with Christmas themes, and made a stop en route to visit Casey, Illinois, and rode on a tram to the top of the famous St. Louis Arch.

The Wyandot County Senior Citizens Club recently hosted its monthly meeting and potluck dinner at the Senior Center in Upper Sandusky with 29 members present. President Madonna Meeker opened the meeting and welcomed attendees.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Elementary School has released its honor roll list for the first quarter of the 2016-17 academic year.

The Wyandot County Council on Aging hosted its annual free Veterans Day luncheon Monday with a visit from an Abraham Lincoln re-enactor. Entertainment was provided by Swinging Door. CAREY — The Our Lady of Consolation volunteer bakery has been preparing for Thanksgiving and will offer traditional fare for the upcoming holiday Saturday and Sunday. Featured items will be pumpkin pie, dinner rolls topped with sesame seeds, and chocolate-covered marshmallows.

The public is invited to a free Thanksgiving dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sunday at John Stewart United Methodist Church, 130 W. Johnson St. On the menu will be turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, tossed salad, cranberry salad, desserts, rolls and butter and beverages.
