MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale High School has released its honor roll list for the second quarter of the 2015-16 academic year.

Toni and Josh Schafer, of Sycamore, are the parents of a girl, Shelby Marie Schafer. She was born at 5:23 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20.5 inches long. The maternal grandparents are Mark and Paula Betti, Bucyrus. The paternal grandparents are Rod and Cathy Schafer, of Sycamore.

BUCYRUS — School was in session Jan. 9 at Wynford Elementary School. But it wasn’t students entering the building for classes that started at 9 a.m.

The Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild recently donated $1,927.34 to purchase three meal carts and a new floor buffer for the hospital. Renny Parker (from left) showed guild members Cletabelle Barnes, Judy Swartz and Nancy Brose one of the new carts and Donna Taylor showed the new buffer.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Community Library will host a family movie night featuring the latest installment in a popular franchise about a British spy at 7 p.m. Friday. The movie is rated PG-13. Drinks and popcorn will be provided.

Lenten luncheons for Wyandot County women will begin at noon Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 318 W. Wyandot Ave. A donation of $4 per meal for each person is suggested.

The Upper Sandusky Lions Club continues its tradition of collecting old and unused eye glasses to be fitted for people in need in Central America in 2016. For the past 35 years, the local effort has been led by Jim Gatchell with help from David Gatchell.
