TIFFIN — The January meeting of the Tiffin Glass Collectors Club featured member’s choice as the show and tell topic. Items brought in varied from delicately cut vases to molded U.S. Glass cabinet knobs.

Mike and Connie (Fleck) Young celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 31. They were married Dec. 31, 1966 at the former St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Edward Lavey officiating.

CRESTLINE — The Crawford Park District will host its next Wild Wednesday programs at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598, Crestline. Preschoolers and their parents are invited to come to the nature center to enjoy an hour of nature exploration.

Students are invited to come to the Upper Sandusky Community Library to explore the science of man-made flight with an airplane science program. Participants will construct paper airplanes and figure out which ones go the furthest, which can carry the most weight and which can go the fastest during the science, technology, engineering, art and math challenge.

After 23 rounds in the Wynford Elementary School spelling bee, the top spellers were (from left) Marty Schuster, Jack Gatchel and Drew Johnson. TIFFIN — “Unity in Diversity” is the theme of this year’s Tiffin Area Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at 7:15 p.m. Monday. The keynote speaker, Darlene Sweeney-Newbern, is the Toledo regional director and the Northern Ohio regional housing director for the Toledo Office of the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.

Registration for the Upper Sandusky Rotary Club’s annual Good Eggs for Easter program will take place from Friday through Feb. 10. Forms will be available at the Wyandot County Department of Job and Family Services, which will collect names of children in need or those who are at-risk.
