CAREY — The Dorcas Carey Public Library is offering a “Chill Out and Read” winter reading program for all ages. Patrons are invited to participate by checking out books from the library.

The public is invited to a couponing class led by Aimee Boes from 6:30-8 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Boes, adult programming specialist at the USCL, will lead a class outlining methods to save money using coupons, rebates, apps and other cost-saving tips and ideas.

TIFFIN — Sentinel Career and Technology Center celebrated the 100 percent state-tested nurses aide passage rate for its 22 Health Career Academy students with a traditional pinning ceremony.

TIFFIN — With the goal of increasing awareness of the Crisis Text Line and the statewide “4HOPE” keyword, the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities, in coordination with the Ohio departments of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Developmental Disabilities, has been working with communities to share information and resources about Crisis Text Line.

A former Upper Sandusky resident will receive the lifetime academic achievement award for 2017 from Michigan State University. Frank Romanelli served as director of Tiffin University’s Hospitality Management Department before his retirement in 1995.
