The annual Lenten lunches for Wyandot County women will be from 12-1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 318 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky. A $4 donation is suggested.

Angeline School and Industries will collect non-perishable food items for county food pantries throughout March in observance of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month for the Stuff the Bus Food Drive. Donations can be dropped off at Angeline on CH 44 in Upper Sandusky during normal business hours.

FOREST — Heritage Christian Union Church, 15738 Ohio 37, Forest, will continue its 2017 Winter Concert Series with southern gospel music by The Morse Family from McComb at 7 p.m. Sunday. Snacks will be provided following the concert.

For the sixth consecutive year, Riverdale art students took home top prizes in the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership’s Rain Barrel Decorating Contest. The Wizard of Oz scenes painted on a water barrel competed with approximately 40 other schools and captured not only first-place honors, but was named the People’s Choice winner.

FREMONT — Court Appointed Special Advocates of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties is looking for citizens in the community to advocate for abused, neglected and dependent children. In order to become a CASA volunteer, an application must be completed, as well as a background check and 30 hours of training.

The Wyandot Memorial Hospital Foundation will award five $1,000 scholarships this spring to Wyandot County residents planning careers in healthcare. Scholarship applications are available at the hospital’s information desk in the lobby and are due March 15.

Brooke Steward, a local nurse with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from The Ohio State University, will be the guest speaker at a Parkinson’s Disease support meeting at 2 p.m. March 5 at Irv and Janice Woods’ home, 532 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky.

Attorneys Bill Root and Logan Phillips, of Resch, Root & Phillips LLC, and Eric Ochmanek from the Ohio treasurer’s office will talk about tax-advantage savings accounts for individuals with disabilities and their families and other special needs planning from 6:30-8 p.m. March 14 at Angeline School and Industries.
