HEAP Winter Crisis Program scheduled to end March 31

The Home Energy Assistance Program Winter Crisis Program that began in November is scheduled to end March 31. The Winter Crisis Program provides financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income-eligible households that are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service or transfer service, or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel.

Kindergarten registration ends March 31 for Upper schools

Kindergarten registration now is open to all residents of Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools. Children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 are required by law to register and be screened. Registration is available on the school district’s website at www.usevs.org. Click on the kindergarten registration link and fill in the registration form.

McCutchenville program to cover Malabar Farm

McCUTCHENVILLE — Capt. Fred Malone, a board member of Malabar Farm and the Mohawk Historical Society and former captain of the Sycamore Grasshoppers Gentlemen’s Base Ball Club, will present a program on Mansfield’s historic Malabar Farm at 7 p.m. Thursday at the dining room of the 1830 McCutchenville Plank Road Tavern.
