Dancing event to benefit CASA

The seventh annual Sandusky County Stars Dancing for CASA, or Court-Appointed Special Advocates, will take place April 1 at The Heights/American Legion, 2000 Buckland Ave., Fremont. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show.

Free tax prep available

AARP Tax-Aide will offer free tax preparation through a joint effort with the Wyandot County Council on Aging and Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church. Volunteers will e-file federal, state and school tax returns at no cost at the church on Malabar Drive each Thursday and Friday from Feb. 2 to April 13.

HEAP Winter Crisis Program scheduled to end this month

The Home Energy Assistance Program Winter Crisis Program that began in November is scheduled to end March 31. The Winter Crisis Program provides financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income-eligible households that are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service or transfer service, or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel.
