Cancer support group to meet Tuesday

Wyandot County Prostate Cancer Support Group meets for an open-forum discussion at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Bowman and Kirkland conference rooms on the lower level of Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. The locally-organized support group is for men of all ages.

Forest VBS begins today

FOREST — Forest vacation Bible school calls all heroes to a Bible adventure at Forest United Methodist Church. Veggietales VBS — “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything!” is from 6-8:15 p.m. today through July 14.

HHWP CAC’s HEAP program helps beat the heat

HHWP Community Action Commission’s HEAP 2017 Summer Crisis Program continues through Aug. 31or until funding and/or equipment is fully exhausted. This program may provide a payment up to $300 toward a regulated or up to $500 toward an unregulated electric bill and/or a window air conditioner and/or a tower oscillating electric fan.

50 attend mother-daughter luncheon

WHARTON — Wharton First Church of God recently hosted a mother-daughter luncheon. Fifty people attended the event at the Beech Grove Church Fellowship Hall. Tables were decorated with red, white and blue covers, with potted flowers.

Confirmation

Twenty-one middle school students recently were confirmed at Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky. The Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Charles Singler (center) and attended by the confirmation candidates’ sponsors, families, friends and fellow parishioners.
