UF welcomes new students to campus FINDLAY — The University of Findlay recently welcomed new undergraduate and graduate students to campus for fall 2016.

BUCYRUS — All former football players who graduated from Wynford High School are invited to the agriculture education shop at WHS at 6 p.m. Friday for a free meal. Mini chops, coleslaw, chips and pop will be served.

The Wellness Center at Wyandot Memorial Hospital will offer its Living with Diabetes course to diabetics and their support persons from 5-8:30 p.m. Oct. 19-20 in the Bowman and Kirkland conference rooms on the hospital’s lower level.

Homecoming season has begun, with three local high schools planning ceremonies during their home football games Friday evening. Wynford, Carey and Riverdale all will celebrate homecoming this weekend.

MANSFIELD — The Ohio State University Extension will host “Improving Your Woodland” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at OSU’s Mansfield campus, 100 Ovalwood Hall, 1760 University Drive. The $35 cost includes lunch.

General surgeon Dr. Peter Schuler will provide free vein screenings from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 and 19. The screenings will include a brief varicose vein risk factor questionnaire and consultation with Schuler.
