Humane Society: August 8, 2017

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that day. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a spayed female yellow cat, a neutered male gray cat, a spayed female great dane-mastiff mix, a female tiger cat, a calico cat, a female gray shepherd and a male sable-colored shepherd.

Installation

Larry Miller recently was installed as illustrious master of Upper Sandusky Council No. 98, Royal and Select Masons, at the local Masonic Center. Selected to serve with Miller were Jamie Berridge, deputy master; Bruce Schoenberger, principal conductor of the work; Kenneth Wessler Jr., treasurer; Ronald Pool, recorder; Richard Williams II, captain of the guard; Douglas McGee, conductor of council; Richard Eyestone, steward; and Thomas Zeigler, sentinel.

FOREST — Speakers from Warren Rupp Observatory in Bellville will talk about the upcoming solar eclipse at 6:30 p.m. today at Forest-Jackson Public Library, 102 W. Lima St. The solar eclipse is Aug. 21.

ARC receives AmeriCorps funding

FINDLAY — The American Red Cross received $1,066,400 in AmeriCorps funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service to support AmeriCorps members as they help the Red Cross teach people how to prepare for emergencies.
