BUCYRUS — Living History Days is a yearly historical event celebrating Crawford County’s Revolutionary War connection. The Crawford Park District partners with our local reenactment group, Colonel Crawford’s Company, to put on this event Saturday and Sunday at Low-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598.

FINDLAY — The Memorial Day holiday weekend is the unofficial start of summer when everyone begins enjoying the outdoors and sunshine. The American Red Cross wants everyone to have fun and offers 20 things to do to be safe all summer long.

With the recent rains and continued warm weather, the Wyandot County Public Health Department encourages people to take time to reduce mosquito breeding sites around homes, and to protect themselves from mosquitoes this summer during outdoor activities.

CAREY — Carey High School held its ceremony of excellence Monday night.

Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools, in partnership with esv2go, has announced the launch of the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools app by esv2go which is now available for iPhones, iPads, Android, Blackberry and Windows devices.

The Upper Sandusky High School graduating class of 1944 celebrated its 74th anniversary with a luncheon on May 19 at the Village Restaurant in Upper Sandusky. There were 78 in the class and around 15 are still living. Six were at the meeting.

CAREY — The Armstrong Air and Space Museum will present “Sounds of Science” at 10 a.m. June 6 at the Dorcas Carey Public Library. Gain an understanding of the makeup of sounds on Earth and in space.

FINDLAY — Curran McKain, of Upper Sandusky, and a member of UF’s orchestra, recently performed in the spring concert, “Grieg & Bizet.” Directed by Soojin Lee, the program included Edward Grieg’s most popular work, “Peer Gynt Suite,” and two of George Bizet's most popular compositions, “L’arlesienne Suite” and “Les Toreadors” from the opera Carmen.
