NEVADA — The Nevada Alumni Association held its annual banquet at Wynford High School with 57 alumni and 25 guests in attendance. Tables were covered in white with gold programs and green placemats listing the honored classes.

CAREY — The Armstrong Air and Space Museum will present “Sounds of Science” at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Dorcas Carey Public Library. Gain an understanding of the makeup of sounds on Earth and in space.

The 103rd Harpster High School alumni banquet was held April 28 in the Upper Sandusky High School cafeteria. Sue Rothermel offered the welcome and invocation followed by the “Star Spangled Banner” sung by Pippa Rothermel.

SYCAMORE — First National Bank of Sycamore recently awarded eight students at Mohawk High School a scholarship of $250 each. Parker Brown, Megan Gillig, Odessa Harrington, Chelsea Higgins, Bryce O’Flaherty, Ashley Ohl, Elise Stuckey and Nicholas Theis all met the criteria of completing an essay on what community banking means to them.

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will host The Storytellers at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gormley Park as part of its summer reading program. Their animated storytelling styles use multiple voices and uncanny vocal effects to captivate audiences. Music accompanies their stories.

Mohawk Lions and Lioness clubs SYCAMORE — Mohawk Lioness and Sycamore Lions Club met for a joint meeting in May at the Sycamore Fire House meeting room.

SAN ANTONIO — U.S. Air Force Airman Alex C. Brodman recently graduated from Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland, San Antonio. Airman Brodman graduated as an honors graduate by being in the top 10 percent of 723 graduates.

SYCAMORE — Kick off to Summer reading at the Mohawk Community Library will feature local country recording artist Eric Sowers at 6 p.m. Monday. Sowers, a native of Sycamore, will share his musical journey and some original music.
