The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a black and white neutered male cat, a brown neutered male cat with an orange collar, an older spayed female tiger cat and a neutered male tiger and white Maine coon cat.

BUCYRUS – The Crawford Park District has several upcoming events planned. Join Crawford Park District Naturalist Josh Dyer at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday for a stroll through Lowe-Volk Park to explore the trails and pond.

Wyandot County Public Health is hosting a free community viewing of the documentary film. “Someone You Love: The HPV Epidemic” will be screened at 6 p.m. July 17 at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Snacks and water will be provided.

COLUMBUS — On average, one child dies every 10 days from heatstroke in a vehicle, according to Safe Kids Worldwide. This year alone, at least 13 children have died in hot cars.

The old cantilever or bank barn on the Gerber farm east of Upper Sandusky on CH 182 soon will be taking on a new life. The barn that was built during the Civil War area is damaged by weather and groundhogs.

BUCYRUS — Dr. Carlos Campo, president of Ashland University in Ashland, will be the guest speaker for the Men’s Community Breakfast at 7 a.m. Wednesday in the Bucyrus Community Hospital cafeteria. Campo is a four-time recipient of Who’s Who Among American Teachers and also is a frequent contributor to a number of National Publications.

Turn Around! vacation Bible school is 6-8 p.m. July 22-26 at John Stewart United Methodist Church, 130 W. Johnston St., Upper Sandusky. Five lessons will be on Zacchaeus, Mephibosheth, Noah, Saul and the Ethiopian treasurer.
