BUCYRUS — The Rotary Club of Bucyrus is seeking applicants to partner in the 2018 Auctionfest, according to co-chairpersons Terry Gernert and Virginia Hammontree. Through Auctionfest, the Rotary Club provides a fun-filled venue for a successful fundraising opportunity.

BUCYRUS — Eight Wynford Junior High School students were selected as Royal Leaders for September. Avery Langenderfer, Miya Kinn and Kendall Blair were nominated by Krista Richmond for adding value to others for filling in notes for an absent student.

Our Lady of Consolation School has announced its Beatitude Students of the Month for September. They received it for displaying “Blessed are the Poor in Spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”

BUCYRUS — Wynford Junior High Students who have met the criteria of 3.5 GPA or better during the fourth quarter of the 2016-17 school year are determined as 2017 fall scholar athletes.

ATHENS — Kolin Johnson, a 2014 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School, is on the homecoming court at Ohio University. The king and queen will be crowned Saturday. Johnson is a son of Scott and Melissa Johnson.

Wyandot County SNAP-Ed program assistent Tami Baumberger continued her “Cooking with Tami” series Tuesday at the Open Door Resource Center.

Heidi and Scott Thiel are the parents of a girl. Hayleigh Marie Thiel was born at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Ed Pieracini of Findlay and Judy Conant of Wharton. Paternal grandparents are Dan and Carolyn Thiel of Upper Sandusky.
