SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Historical Society will celebrate “Melmore Day” on Sunday at the Melmore Town Hall. Pioneer stew and corn bread will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and at 1 p.m., the seven-piece Honey Creek Preservation Jazz Band will take the stage.

The Upper Sandusky High School class of 1978 recently had its 40th class reunion at White Shutter Winery. There were approximately 100 members in attendance.

As homecoming events begin for area schools, the Wyandot County Safe Communities Coalition and local law enforcement agencies want to remind parents to talk to their teens about safe driving. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens in the United States, and unfortunately many parents don’t take the time to talk with their kids about the dangers of driving.
