Donate blood for Breast Cancer Awareness Month FINDLAY — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — the perfect time to give blood or platelets to support cancer patients and others. Anna Gwinnup, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in September 2017. Within weeks, it advanced to stage 2, forcing her to undergo a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and multiple surgeries, which required blood products. Read More
Be sure to yield right of way MARION — Motorists who don’t yield for vehicles with the right of way cause far too many crashes each year. Crashes caused by this violation, known as failure to yield, were a primary cause in nearly one out of every five crashes in Ohio. Read More
Free vein screenings available General Surgeon Peter Schuler, M.D., will provide free vein screenings from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 17 and 1-4 p.m. Oct. 31. The screenings will include a brief varicose vein risk factor questionnaire and consultation with Schuler. Read More
Provider Resource Festival slated The Wyandot County Board of Developmental Disabilities invites the public to come to its Provider Resource Fall Festival from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at Harrison Smith Park in Upper Sandusky.
