Town hall meeting to be held Wednesday at library

The Wyandot County Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development, Republican Party and Democrat Party are hosting a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. The event is open to the public and is an opportunity to meet candidates and hear about local levies and state Issues.

VFW scholarship deadline approaching

Once again it’s time for VFW and Auxiliary scholarships writing contests Patriot’s Pen for sixth through eighth grades and Voice of Democracy for ninth through 12th grades. Upper Sandusky, Carey, Mohawk and Riverdale students interested in writing an essay for consideration may get entry forms online and drop the entries off at either the Upper Sandusky or Carey posts.

BVHF grants $38,000 to health center

FINDLAY — The Blanchard Valley Health Foundation recently granted more than $38,000 to Caughman Health Center, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System that provides family practice and pediatric care to area residents, regardless of their ability to pay.

Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education offering grants

GRANVILLE — The Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program has invited Ohio students and teachers to creatively demonstrate their energy knowledge during National Energy Awareness Month. The U.S. Department of Energy made the designation to emphasize the importance of energy and energy production to our nation’s economic prosperity, security and quality of life.
