Highway Patrol suggests steps for safe driving during winter

DEFIANCE — The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds drivers to winterize their vehicles and follow safe driving tips in preparation for inclement weather. Winter weather can catch drivers off guard, but people can reduce the risks of being involved in a crash by making sure vehicles are ready for the season, adopting winter driving techniques and following general roadway safety.

EasternWoods updates PET/CT scan

FINDLAY — EasternWoods Outpatient Center, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, recently updated its PET/CT scan technology to improve patient experience. This diagnostic system will allow providers to give more accurate diagnoses with 3-D imaging, enhanced imaging with wider fields of view and improved lesion detectability.

The Mohawk Academic Team finished its regular season with the league tournament Dec. 14 at Tiffin University and finished third of 16 teams to cap its successful season. In match play, the Warriors came in second in their division with a 7-2 record.
