FINDLAY — The Hancock County Convention and Visitors Bureau once again is offering grant programs in 2019 to support local events. The Community Connect Program, Co Op Advertising Grant, Tourism Development Program and Tourism Growth Program, as well as two new programs, the Tournament Builder Program and Rebrand/Annual Program Marketing, will be available.

FOREST — The McVitty VFW Post No. 1182 and the American Legion Post No. 259 will hold the next monthly fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Friday. Meals are all you can eat.

The 2019 Wyandot County Fair Reverse Raffle is Saturday at the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the first tickets drawn at 6 p.m.

The Friends of the Library recently donated $90 to buy food trays for the Upper Sandusky Community Library’s What’s Cookin’ Cookbook Discussion Group. The trays were put to great use at the soup contest held recently at the library.

Randy and Rachel Crawford, of Sycamore, are the parents of a girl. Addalynn Jean Crawford was born at 10:52 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2019. She was 8 pounds, 9 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Jane Rigsby, of Upper Sandusky and the late Paul Rigsby. Paternal grandparents are William and Carol Crawford, of Sycamore.

TOLEDO — The American Red Cross is reissuing its emergency call for blood and platelet donors to give now after multiple snow storms, frigid temperatures and the government shutdown further reduced lifesaving donations. In January, more than 4,600 Red Cross blood and platelet donations went uncollected as blood drives were forced to cancel due to severe winter weather blanketing parts of the U.S., and additional cancellations were expected this week.
