President Sandy Hemmerly called the Jan. 28 meeting of the Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild to order with 23 members present. Megan Bair, certified nurse midwife, gave a comprehensive presentation of what services are offered at the hospital to include recommended screenings.

FINDLAY — The February presentation of the “Living through Loss” series is 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 18 and titled “Taking Care of You” in the Marathon Auditorium at Blanchard Valley Hospital located, 1900 S. Main St., Findlay. “Taking Care of You” will offer the bereaved an opportunity to learn about and enjoy methods of self-care such as relaxing massage therapy, aromatherapy, mindfulness and music, humor and even “mood-lifting” desserts.

FINDLAY — Recruitment is now underway to enroll participants in a Micro Business Development program offered by the HHWP Community Action Commission. The program consists of 11 sessions held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings, which begin Feb. 21 in the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce boardroom at 123 E Main Cross St., Findlay.

BUCYRUS — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reporting a 9 percent decrease in traffic fatalities last year according to provisional statistics. In 2018, 1,071 people lost their lives on Ohio’s roads as compared to 1,179 in 2017. Unbelted traffic fatalities declined by 10 percent.
