Crawford Park District hosting multiple Saturday events

CRESTLINE — The Crawford County Parks District recently announced upcoming events. Recycling is 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center, 2401 Ohio 598. The Colonel Crawford Lions Club and The Friends of the Crawford Park District host a recycle day the second Saturday of each month through the year.

COTC to hold first responder mental health summit

NEWARK — Central Ohio Technical College invites police officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics and others in the public safety field to its inaugural First Responder Mental Health Awareness Summit from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 13 in the John Gilbert Reese Center, 1209 University Drive, Newark.

Amber Beltz and Adam Fox, both of Forest, were married at 4:30 p.m. July 20, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Lima with the Rev. Andrew Shields officiating. The bride was accompanied by Maid of Honor Alisha Buxton, as well as bridesmaids Amy Brown, sister of the groom, Forest; Ashley Hammer, sister of the groom, Uniontown; Abigail Krouse, Columbus; Jennifer Spradlin, Wapakoneta; and Haley Beltz, cousin of the bride, Forest.

Flag City BalloonFest kicks off Friday

FINDLAY — The Flag City BalloonFest will host its 20th hot air balloon festival Aug. 9 – 11 at Emory Adams Park in Findlay. Spectators can look forward to a number of new events and enjoy returning favorites. While some activities have minimal fees, the Flag City BalloonFest has no admission or parking fees thanks to its generous sponsors.
