Public invited to Harvest Festival

The Celebrate Fairhaven Volunteer Service Group’s 39th annual Harvest Fest is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 26, at 850 Marseilles Ave., Upper Sandusky. A live auction is 10:30-11:30 a.m., a bake sale is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a celebrate Fairhaven video will be shown 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., lunch is available from 11:30-1 p.m. and a raffle closes at 12:30 p.m. Entertainment is from 1-1:30 p.m. Campus tours also will be available.

Tracers hosting speaker Neel tonight

The Wyandot Tracers Genealogy Society, O.G.S., will host speaker Tom Neel at its meeting tonight. The speaker is Tom Neel, director of the prestigious Ohio Genealogical Society Library in Bellville. He is speaking on the topic “Courthouse Records: An Overlooked Source?” The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the basement meeting room of the Upper Sandusky Community Library.

Tracers announce upcoming events

The Wyandot Tracers Genealogy Society, O.G.S., recently announced its Sept. 16 meeting. The speaker is Tom Neel, director of the prestigious Ohio Genealogical Society Library in Bellville. He is speaking on the topic “Courthouse Records: An Overlooked Source?” The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the basement meeting room of the Upper Sandusky Community Library.

Tiffin Developmental parade Oct 20

TIFFIN — The Tiffin Developmental Center’s 53rd Annual Halloween Parade is 2 p.m. Oct. 20, rain or shine. The parade route starts at the Chapel parking lot of Tiffin Center traveling west through the grounds to the Huss Street entrance, turning left onto Ohio Avenue then right onto Industrial Ave., right onto Riverside Drive, right onto Huss Street and then left onto River Road North and ending at the ball diamond.

Carey library reading programs to begin

Mother Goose Time starts Sept. 19 at the Dorcas Carey Public Library. This program will begin at 10 a.m. for infants through 2-year-olds. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes. The children must be accompanied by an adult during the half hour. There are stories, songs, and activities. If school is cancelled that day, there will not be Mother Goose Time. This program runs through mid-May.

Hearing screens slated for Thursday

Audiologist Courtney Thiel will provide free hearing screenings for adults 18 and older from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Appointments are required for the free screenings, which will continue each month on the third Thursday.
