Mother Goose Time starts Friday at the Dorcas Carey Public Library. This program will begin at 10 a.m. for infants through 2-year-olds. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes. The children must be accompanied by an adult during the half hour. There are stories, songs, and activities. If school is cancelled that day, there will not be Mother Goose Time. This program runs through mid-May.

The fourth annual Tiffin Zombie Run 5k run/walk fundraiser is Oct. 12, 2019, at Tiffin University Nature Preserve Trail, 2375 W. County Road 26, Tiffin. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the race will start at 10 a.m. The award ceremony begins at 11 a.m. and hot dogs, ice cream and other snacks will be available for purchase.

The third annual Open Door Resource Center Chocolate Walk is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 in downtown Upper Sandusky. Enjoy visiting local shops and businesses, and receive a chocolate treat at each stop.

Gabe Boehler, 5, recently completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge at Mohawk Community Library. He started the challenge April 23, 2014, and completed the challenge Aug. 20, 2019.

Audiologist Courtney Thiel will provide free hearing screenings for adults 18 and older from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Appointments are required for the free screenings, which will continue each month on the third Thursday.

FOREST — There will be two movies shown Friday at the Forest-Jackson Public Library. The movie matinee, “All is True” is showing at 1 p.m. A free will donation includes popcorn and a drink.

CRESTVIEW — Canoeing is 6 p.m. today at Neff Reservoir, Ohio 98, Bucyrus. Join Josh and Lisa for an evening paddle around Neff Reservoir. After a lesson on some canoeing basics and safety, take to the water. Pre-registration is required by Sept. 16. For more information contact the Crawford Park District office at 419-683-9000.

Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a tiger and white kitten, a female gray tiger cat, a white and brown neutered male shih tzu, a female beagle with a brown face, a male brown tiger cat, a gray calico cat, a yellow and white neutered male cat and a tri-color hound mix puppy.
