Crawford Parks announce remaining October events

CRESTLINE — The Crawford Park District recently announced upcoming events. Toddler Trot: Lookin’ at Leaves is 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Sears Woods, 1486 Mt. Zion Rd. Sears Woods is a great place to explore, especially when it comes to leaves. Join Crawford Park District Director Josh Dyer and McKinley as they trot the trail, using leaves to match shapes and colors, compare sizes and count. The program is for kids not quite in school and younger.

Restaurant offering wild game on Oct 19

FINDLAY — Anyone interested in trying wild game for the first time is encouraged to attend a tasting event Oct. 19, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife. The Division of Wildlife is partnering with Table One restaurant to provide a unique opportunity to try venison and other wild game. This event is intended for people who have never tasted wild game before.

Humane Society: October 15, 2019

Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a black and white female cat and a red and white female basset hound who just had puppies a week ago. Animals in stray since the last report that are still at the shelter include a tan female lab mix, a tan male shar pei-Lab mix.

Meeting minutes: October 15, 2019

The Kiwanis Club of Carey met Oct. 2 with nine members in attendance. The meeting began with a call to order. Trisha DeAmicis led the pledge and Tom Eyestone led the prayer. Fines collected by Treasurer Sara Pahl. A report was given on spiritual aims and communications from district Kiwanis were discussed.
