Forty-eight attendees of a customer service seminar at the Upper Sandusky Community Library on Tuesday were treated to a free lesson on maintaining good working relationships. The seminar was sponsored by the Upper Sandusky Area Chamber of Commerce, Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot Counties and Wyandot County Home Health.

Laurie Scheck chips away at a thick layer of ice on the sidewalk outside Stansbery, Schoenberger and Scheck Law Offices on Monday morning. Temperatures remained in the single digits throughout the morning as a bitter cold front made its way through northwest Ohio, and employees of local businesses attempted to clean up the icy mess on the sidewalks in the downtown area.

SYCAMORE — Nearly 25 people filled the Sycamore Village Council room Tuesday evening to witness the swearing in of a new fire chief. Rod Clinger was sworn in as chief and spent little time soaking in the promotion before getting to work and speaking with council on the happenings of the department.
