Since she was in middle school, Upper Sandusky senior Kenedi Hayden has wanted to run track in college. Beginning next school year, that dream will become a reality.

The Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center welcomed its new administrator, Elaine Roynon (top right), with a staff luncheon Thursday, giving Roynon the opportunity to meet and speak with staff.

While there are national prescription drug take-back days twice a year that Wyandot County law enforcement participates in, the Upper Sandusky Police Department now has a method to drop off medication at any time. USPD Chief Dan Ross says became aware of a Rite Aid program two months ago which gave police departments in Rite Aid service areas the opportunity to have their own safe medication disposal unit.

SYCAMORE — First National Bank of Sycamore has opened a loan production office at 2353 W. Market St. in Tiffin and recently celebrated with a grand opening. Jerry P. Weininger, vice president of business development, manages the Tiffin location.

Veterans were honored with a free lunch Tuesday at the Wyandot County Council on Aging in Upper Sandusky. Rev. Elaine Sturtz gave the devotion and Kyle McColly provided musical entertainment.

Custom Glass Solutions honored both veterans in its workforce and around the country by dedicating a walkway at its Upper Sandusky facility Monday morning. “Every company is only as good as its people and we are lucky to have some of the best,” a statement from CGS read.

Volunteers from the Wyandot County Young Professionals helped decorate the front of the Wyandot County Courthouse over the weekend, wrapping the large pine trees with Christmas lights for the holiday season with the help of a lift from Schilling Propane.
