BUCYRUS — As well as Upper Sandusky coach Jerry Vent feels the Upper Sandusky girls basketball team has executed on defense, one area he hoped to see improvement in was for the Rams to get in passing lanes more often in order to force turnovers.

RAWSON — How many turnovers would the Cory-Rawson girls basketball team force in their full court press as well as their zone defense? And would they be able to turn defense into offense and convert off of their steals?

LIMA — Upper Sandusky’s boys finished as runner-up while the girls were fourth in the Lima Holiday Invitational swim meet Thursday at the Lima YMCA. The Rams boys scored 275 points, finishing well behind champion Lima Shawnee with 372.5 points, but ahead of third-place Ottawa-Glandorf with 275 points.

The 2018 Bells of Uptown contest asked businesses in Upper Sandusky to decorate their windows while adding a hidden number in their display. Members of the public picked up an entrant form which required them to stop by each display and find each businesses’ hidden number before they voted for their favorite decoration.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — With two of his teammates having missed two of their last six free throw attempts as the Riverdale boys basketball team trimmed the Wildcats’ lead to three points with 28 seconds remaining, North Union guard Connor Terrill knew he had to step up.
