Wyandot Dems discuss impact of addiction in the community Tuesday, the Wyandot County Democrats hosted a community action event at the Upper Sandusky Community Library focused on the impact of drug addiction in the community. Speaking were Keith Durkin, a professor of sociology at Ohio Northern University, with a research area of interest in substance abuse; Wade Melton, director of programs for Hardin County juvenile court and director of Hardin Community School, a charter school that deals with children struggling with addiction and mental health; and Tristin Kilgallon, an assistant professor of criminal justice from Ohio Northern University. Family assisted after Sunday house fire The American Red Cross is assisting an Upper Sandusky family after a two-story house fire Sunday night on Sunset Drive. An Upper Sandusky Police report states an officer responded to a fire on the 500 block of Sunset Drive at approximately 9:07 p.m. Sunday.
