Rams win tri with Royals, Tigers

Upper Sandusky boys and girls were winners in a home tri-meet against Seneca East and Wynford on Monday at Upper Sandusky. The Rams girls topped the Tigers 92.5-30.5, with the Royals scoring 31 points, while the Rams boys topped the Tigers 84-64, with the Royals tallying 27 points.

Upper Sandusky’s finest are on the move. In a special meeting over the weekend, the City of Upper Sandusky approved an emergency resolution to move the Upper Sandusky Police Department to the vacant building on 119 W. Johnson St. in Upper Sandusky, the former location of Dough-Si-Dough doughnut shop.

CAREY — This wasn’t the first time that the Carey girl's track and field team has won the Carey Blue Devil Relays, the annual track meet the Carey boys and girl's track teams host on their home track. It wasn’t the second or third consecutive time they have done so either. Thanks to eight first-place finishes in the running events and an overall team score of 141 points, the Carey girl's track team won the Carey Blue Devil Relays for at least the fifth consecutive time on Saturday.

Licensed to drive: New Ohio driver’s license options complicate process

Ohio residents who have been to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in the last nine months to renew their driver’s license were likely surprised that they had multiple options available. Ohio was the 42nd state to join a Department of Homeland Security initiative July 2, 2018, to begin issuing new driver’s licenses that were labeled either standard or compliant.

Clouse hits 2 HRs in Mohawk win

SYCAMORE — Paityn Clouse not only got the win in the circle, but helped herself at the plate as well. Clouse earned the pitching win and clubbed two home runs as the Mohawk softball team defeated Old Fort 12-2 on Thursday at Lady Warriors Field.
