Shawshank historical markers placed Upper Sandusky gained a pair of historical markers Wednesday in recognition of the city’s contributions to the movie, “The Shawshank Redemption,” which debuted 24 years ago in 1994. Hanging baskets Eric Stansberry, owner of Jasper Repair and Chuck Pahl of Pahl’s Premium Construction donated labor and materials to help hang flower baskets of Jeff Trautwein’s wave petunias at the Wyandot County Courthouse entrance Friday night and flowers were planted on both sides of the courthouse as part of the continuing beautification project started in 2017 by Linda DeBolt and Janice Woods.
