Man biking across country to raise PTSD awareness

Texas Triker

A Texas man who is biking to all four corners of the United States made a pit stop in Upper Sandusky on Monday. Gregory Hook, also known as the Texas Triker, began his journey on April 4, 2018, in Victoria, Texas, and has traveled 6,400 miles thus far while raising money to support veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Sycamore Fire receives grant

SYCAMORE — The Sycamore Volunteer Fire Department received a grant for first responders from a Seneca County charity during its meeting on Monday. The non-profit Just for Kids of Seneca County donated $1,700 to the Sycamore Volunteer Fire Department for the purchase of body armor vests, intended to be used during active shooter events as well as other situations which often involve children being needless victims.
