Camp Ohana brings children with diabetes together When 2016 Upper Sandusky graduate Corrie Knapp was diagnosed with diabetes at age 11, she was lucky to be able to have a support system in one of her best friends since preschool, Emma Smith. The two, now 21, attended a camp for children with Type 1 diabetes together when they were 12. Knapp explained that campers were encouraged to bring along camp buddies as support. After the camp experience, which the two didn’t like very much because of the long drive, Knapp and Smith discussed the need for a camp closer to home. Read More

Kuenzli named FAGA player of year FINDLAY — Riverdale junior Andrew Kuenzli was named the boys player of the year in the Findlay Area Golf Association. Kuenzli won seven times on this season’s tour. Museum hosts tour of Upper sites linked to Neil Armstrong Saturday, Wyandot County Museum curator and director Ronald Marvin Jr. lead a tour around Upper Sandusky Saturday to places that were significant in Neil Armstrong’s life, while he lived in Upper Sandusky from 1942-1944. Armstrong lived in Upper Sandusky, Marvin said, during his seventh, eighth and ninth grade years. Read More
