Unbeaten L-B shuts out Riverdale

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Liberty-Benton remained undefeated and kept the girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association lead with a 3-0 victory at Riverdale on Wednesday. The Eagles (6-0-1, 3-0 NCOSA) scored once in the first half and twice in the second half.

Sand shoots 41 in victory

GALION — Logen Sand shot a 41 to lead Wynford to a 182-228 victory against Crestline in a nonleague boys golf match Wednesday at Valley View Golf Course. Kayleb Keaton added a 45, Josh Crall a 47 and Aden Caldwell a 49 for the Royals (5-4).

McComb, Arcadia top Riverdale in tri

ARLINGTON — Riverdale remained winless in Blanchard Valley Conference play, losing to McComb and Arcadia in a tri-match Wednesday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. The Panthers edged the Redskins, 191-195, with the Falcons shooting a 209.

Keaton, Crall lead Wynford past BC

BUCYRUS — Kayleb Keaton and Josh Crall both shot 44s to lead Wynford to a 183-184 victory against Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match. Logen Sand added a 46 and Aiden Caldwell a 49 for the Royals (5-3, 4-3 N10).

SYCAMORE — Mohawk volleyball continued to roll against Northern 10 Athletic Conference competition by downing Seneca East, 25-20, 25-19, 25-16, on Tuesday. The Warriors (9-1, 6-1 N10) have won nine straight matches and have swept six consecutive N10 opponents since opening the season with a 3-2 loss to Buckeye Central.

Rams roll past Bucyrus to 2nd win

Anna Johnson had five aces, nine kills and four blocks as Upper Sandusky dominated Bucyrus, 25-15, 25-16, 25-6, to earn its second volleyball win of the season on Tuesday night. The Rams (2-9, 2-5 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) also got 16 assists and eight digs from Eve Smith.

Montgomery birdies 5 times as Upper completes N10 play 8-0

GALION — Brett Montgomery shot a career-low nine-hole 32 to help Upper Sandusky close out Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf play with a 171-222 victory against Colonel Crawford on Tuesday at Valley View Golf Course. Montgomery had birdies on Nos. 1, 4, 6, 7 and 9 with a bogey on No. 8.

Devils get N10 win over Tigers

CAREY — Carey stayed in contention in the Northern 10 Athletic League with a 174-189 victory against Seneca East and also picked up a nonleague win against North Baltimore (191) on Tuesday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course. With the win, the Blue Devils (9-3, 5-2 N10) took control of third place in the league over the Tigers (6-3, 3-3 N10).

Wynford boys finish 5th at Lucas

LUCAS — Wynford’s boys took fifth place Tuesday in the Cub Classic cross country invitational at Lucas. The Royals scored 113 points, finishing just behind Northern 10 Athletic Conference foes Bucyrus (105 points) and Buckeye Central (110).
