McKain Miller leads Carey

ARLINGTON — Carey shot a 382 on Saturday in the Sycamore Springs Invitational at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. McKain Miller led the Blue Devils with a 90, followed by Brayden Miller with a 95 and Ethan Tanner with a 97. Dylan Grothaus rounded out team scoring with a 100.

FINDLAY — In a race featuring multiple larger schools, Carey’s girls took third place in the Van Buren Black Knight Invitational cross country meet Saturday at Owens Community College’s Findlay campus. MARION — Patrick Massara took over the program lead for wins with his 41st as coach as the Upper Sandusky girls soccer team defeated Marion Harding, 3-1, on Saturday in Marion. The victory moved Massara past Erin Hurley, who coached the Rams from 2003-09.

Wisda leads Warriors

FREMONT — Freshman Maggie Wisda was 12th in the girls race to lead Mohawk to a sixth-place finish Saturday in the St. Joseph Streak Invitational at Walsh Park in Fremont. Wisda finished in 21:51.27, with Maddie Fredritz in 17th place in 22:17.45.

SYCAMORE — With his team down two scores in the third quarter, Mohawk quarterback Keith Jenkins made plays to spark Mohawk to a huge win. Jenkins ran for 142 of his 160 yards in the second half, leading three touchdown drives as the Warriors, ranked No. 3 in Division VII, stayed unbeaten with a 31-24 victory against Division IV No. 13 Seneca East at Warrior Field.
