COLUMBUS — Two Wyandot County students were among the 49 Ohio Connections Academy students recognized for their academic achievement and service to the community as they were inducted into the National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society.

Piano students of Louise Lortz, of rural Upper Sandusky, recently participated in the national guild piano playing auditions in Bucyrus. Upper Sandusky students presenting musical arrangements before a qualified examiner were Abby Thiel, a daughter of Bob and Bonnie Thiel and Jana Radabaugh, a daughter of Greg and Angela Radabaugh.

The Ostomy Support Group is holding its first meeting on at noon May 26 in the Board Room at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. The special speaker for this meeting is Mary Candlish, of Hollister, who will show samples of the latest in ostomy care products.

Warpole Chapter No. 366 recently met with the meeting being opened in ritualistic form by Worthy Matron Roberta Ekleberry who read a poem "Mothers Were Once Daughters". The conductress introduced Darcie Miller, grand representative of Oregon in Ohio.

Mackenzie McClain and Matt Wysong, both of Columbus, recently announced their engagement and upcoming wedding.

TIFFIN — Twelve members and three guests were present when Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Intl. recently met at Tiffin’s American Civil War Museum. Jan Dundore provided a tour of the museum, the only one in Ohio solely dedicated to the American Civil War.

John Stewart United Methodist Women hosted its annual mother-child dinner May 1. Members and guests were served by men of the church and Northwest Plains UMW Shepherdess Barbara Coats offered prayer.
