Pop-bottle presidents

U.S. presidents made from 2-liter plastic pop bottles were on display at Upper Sandusky Community Library. Students in Mindy Newell’s second-grade class studied biographies of presidents and created the pop-bottle presidents as a class project.

Meeting minutes: April 14, 2017

President Beth Lininger welcomed 19 members to the April meeting of the Mohawk Women’s Literary Club with two poems relating to spring. Thank-you notes from McCutchenville United Church of Christ caring committee and Fillmore Pharmacy were read.

Unlock the Dream Breakfast set April 21

Buckeye Ridge Habitat for Humanity will host an Unlock the Dream Breakfast from 7-8:30 a.m. April 21 at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church, 108 Malabar Dr., Upper Sandusky. The breakfast will benefit future Habitat for Humanity projects in Wyandot County.

USEVS now accepting open enrollment apps

Upper Sandusky schools now are accepting applications for interdistrict and intradistrict open enrollment for the 2017-18 school year. Interdistrict open enrollment allows students in kindergarten through 12th grade who reside in Ohio to attend Upper Sandusky schools tuition-free, with proper documentation, if enrollment allows.
