The July 11 meeting of the Wyandot County PERI Chapter No. 88 was called to order by President Ruth Reier in the Wyandot Memorial Hospital Bowen-Kirkland room. The Lords’ Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance were said in unison.

REYNOLDSBURG — As part of the 25th anniversary of the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Ohio Proud Marketing Program, Weights and Measures officials will take part in an official weighing of the world’s largest piece of buckeye candy at the Ohio State Fair.

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will have a Back to School Kickoff party at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2. Join the library to announce the winners of the coloring contest sponsored by Tristan Joy at Edward Jones Financial in Upper Sandusky.

SYCAMORE — The public is invited to the annual Sycamore United Methodist Church social at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at 211 N. Sycamore Ave., Sycamore. People may dine in or eat out.

The July 25 meeting of the Wyandot Piecemakers was held at Fairhaven Community with 23 members present. Patterns and instructions for the group project and the upcoming Saturday sew were passed out.
