Our Lady of Consolation School seventh grader Lydia Gery recently received recognition at the Power of the Pen regional competition at Lourdes University in Sylvania for her Best of Round paper at district competition in Tiffin. Legislative fellowship program offered

COLUMBUS — State Sen. Dave Burke (R-Marysville) announced that the Ohio Legislative Service Commission is accepting applications through April 1 for the 2020 Legislative and Telecommunications Fellowship Program. The Commission will hire 24 fellows to serve in the Ohio General Assembly for the 2020 calendar year.

Wynford Community Luncheon is April 7

BUCYRUS — The Wynford Local School District’s annual Community Luncheon is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 7 in the high school cafeteria. All Wynford residents, employees, graduates and alumni of Wynford, Holmes Liberty, Lykens, Mount Zion and Nevada, as well as supporters of Wynford Local Schools are invited.

Sunday, Upper Sandusky High School Band Director Jason Morris was presented the Kappa Kappa Psi Alumni Association’s Brent Cannon Music Education Alumni Achievement Award. Jason Morris was presented this award on behalf of the Kappa Kappa Psi Alumni Association by Cheryl Coakley, Corrina Waggy, Jim Wheeler, Steve Kauffman, David Headings, Denise Stull, Jessie Starner and Devin Bramel at Upper Sandusky High School’s Pre-Contest Band and Choir Concert.
