Only a freshman, Kuenzli is Falcons’ 2nd state qualifier

MOUNT BLANCHARD — When Riverdale freshman Andrew Kuenzli tees off tomorrow at the Division III high school state golf tournament in Columbus, he will become just the second Falcons golfer to do so. Kuenzli begins his outing at the state tournament at 10:40 a.m. tomorrow at The Ohio State University Scarlet Course.

When Upper Sandusky decided it was going to win, it made it happen. The Rams overcame a slow start to dominate the second and third sets before closing things out in the fourth set of a 21-25, 25-14, 25-9, 25-22 victory against Wynford on Tuesday night.

Mohawk finishes 17-4 with win

MORRAL — Mohawk finished its regular season with a 25-23, 25-10, 25-18 victory against Ridgedale in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play Tuesday night. The Warriors (17-4, 12-4 N10) trailed 23-19 in the first set but scored the final six points, and they trailed 13-12 in the third set before finishing strong.
