NEW WASHINGTON — Everything changed in only a few seconds. Jenna Karl’s long 3-pointer at the end of the fourth quarter forced overtime, and a Courtney Pifher three-point play off the tip ball to begin overtime turned the tide, and Buckeye Central took over first place in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference with a 55-51 victory against Carey on Tuesday night.

BUCYRUS — A defensive strategy that differed from what they had been using recently, a slightly different starting lineup and more open looks was all it took for the Upper Sandusky girls basketball team to put a losing streak and shooting slump behind them.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk girls basketball team fell to Seneca East 65-33 in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference contest on Tuesday at Mohawk High School. The Warriors (3-14, 2-11 N10) were led by Anna Stillberger and Shay Miller, who both scored 8 points.

WILLARD — Willard jumped out to a 20-point lead after one quarter that carried it to a 66-40 victory against Wynford in a non-conference girls basketball game Tuesday night. The Crimson Flashes (12-5) led 23-3 after the first.

Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame announces 2018 induction class

The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame will induct its 2018 class in a banquet at 6 p.m. April 21 at the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Inductees this year are Riverdale’s Don Bowman, Upper Sandusky’s Robby Lee, Sycamore’s Wilfred Osborn, Wynford’s Mike Schifer, Mohawk’s Aubrey Walton, Carey’s Beth (Baldridge) Williams and the 2003 Mohawk softball team.

Upper junior high wrestling 2nd at Seneca East

2nd place

ATTICA — The Upper Sandusky junior high wrestling team took second among 20 teams Saturday at Seneca East. Gage Ebert and Lane Montgomery both were individual champions for the Rams, while Tommy Brown, Aiden Gallant, Degan Eldridge and Creighton Morton were runners-up. Braxton Johnson placed fourth.
