Royals win 53-0 to clinch 3rd N10 title

Leading the charge

By now, the Wynford Royals are more than just the best team and only champion in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference. They more closely resemble a machine when they step on the football field for a league game, and they were pretty efficient in a 53-0 win at Upper Sandusky on Friday night to clinch a share of their third straight title since the N10 originated in 2014.

Warriors pass for 180 yards against Rockets

Not too shabby

MORRAL — With a comfortable lead, Mohawk had a chance to do a few different things in the second half of Friday night’s game at Ridgedale. Not only did a lot of young players get extended playing time, but the Warriors took advantage of the situation to get a touchdown for lineman Cole Draper in their 47-0 victory that clinched at least a .500 season.

Blue Devils roll to 63-28 victory

One for the home fans

CAREY — Within a matter of moments, Carey put away visiting Bucyrus on Friday night. The Blue Devils scored touchdowns on their first four possessions, including off two straight takeaways, on their way to a 63-28 rout against the winless Redmen in a Northern 10 game at Wentling Field.

Eagles pull away late

PEMBERVILLE — Ethan Melroy gave the underdogs an early lift, and No. 6 Riverdale played toe-to-toe with the No. 2 seed in the district for about 70 minutes of a very damp sectional final game. Then the floodgates opened.

Kin’s 20 kills power Carey to sweep

Too much to handle

CAREY — Cardinal Stritch was the Toledo Area Athletic Conference co-champion, but the Cardinals had not seen a hitter like Sydney Kin before Wednesday night. Kin slammed 20 kills, including 10 in the first set, as the Blue Devils won their fifth straight sectional title with a 25-16, 25-18, 25-23 victory.
