MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s girls were second and the boys third Tuesday in the Hardin County Invitational at Riverdale. Kenton’s girls topped Riverdale, 167-142, while the Wildcats boys won with a 154.5-126 advantage over Ada.

CAREY — Its perfect record in jeopardy in the fifth inning, Carey made plays on defense and then at the plate and took a 6-2 victory against McComb in a nonconference baseball game Tuesday. With the game tied at 1 in the top of the fifth inning, McComb (7-6) put runners at second and third with one out and had its top hitter, Tanner Schroeder, at the plate.

Upper Sandusky switched up its lineup and took a 4-1 victory against Ontario in boys tennis action Tuesday. The Rams (6-5) moved Levi Malone to doubles for the first time, putting Micah Swinehart in at No. 2 singles.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Seth McElree led the way with four hits as Riverdale pounded Bluffton, 20-5, in a nonconference baseball game Tuesday. McElree also walked, scored two runs and drove in two runs as Riverdale (10-8) scored five times in the first inning, six times each in the second and third innings and three times in the fourth inning.

ATTICA — The Mohawk softball team scored 10 runs on 15 hits on the way to a 10-6 victory over Seneca East on Tuesday at Seneca East. The Warriors (10-7, 8-5 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) were led by Hannah Jordan, who was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

NORTH ROBINSON — Carey tied the game with a run in the sixth inning, took control with a four-run seventh inning and then held on for a 9-8 victory against Colonel Crawford on Tuesday in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game.

ATTICA — Brandon Best’s two-out single completed a three-run bottom of the seventh as Seneca East rallied for a 6-5 victory against Mohawk on Tuesday to stay undefeated in Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball play. Down 5-3 entering the inning, the Tigers (14-2, 11-0 N10) got a one-out solo home run from Kainon Ruffing to get within one.

MILAN — The Edison softball team scored four runs in the first inning and eight in the second and took advantage of six errors in a 13-2 victory over Upper Sandusky on Tuesday in Milan. The Chargers were led by Lindsey Fortuna, who had two singles, double and one RBI.

BUCYRUS — It didn’t matter to Bucyrus softball players Caleigh Rister, Brooklyn Spears or Isadora Burling that the Carey Blue Devils entered Monday’s game ranked No. 10 in the state. Or that Carey’s starting pitcher, Blayc Hacker, had not lost a Northern 10 Athletic Conference game in her career as a starter.

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky’s offense did not produce big time, but its pitching and defense was outstanding, and that was enough for a 3-0 victory against Wynford on Monday in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Monday
