Mansfield St. Peter’s scored a pair of goals in the first half and topped Upper Sandusky 2-0 in a girls soccer match Tuesday at Upper Sandusky. Sophie Tridico scored with 29:37 left in the first half, and 17 minutes later, Kiyah Wentz scored the match’s final goal.

SYCAMORE — Tiffin Columbian rallied from a two-set deficit to knock off Mohawk in its volleyball season opener 18-25, 12-25, 25-20, 25-22, 21-19 on Tuesday night at Mohawk. “What a great high school volleyball match,” Mohawk coach Eric Hoover said.

CAREY — Both teams returned a majority of their players from last season, but Seneca East was the one to pick up its first victory of the season by beating Carey 25-22, 25-17, 25-16 on Tuesday night in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match at Carey.

Eagles pull out sweep of Rams

NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford won competitive sets to take a sweep of Upper Sandusky 25-23, 25-22, 25-18 in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday in North Robinson. Sydney Stuckman led the Rams (1-2, 0-1 N10) with three aces and six kills. Emily Hill also had six kills and added 20 digs. Savannah Kinley was a perfect 14-of-14 serving and had seven assists, while Eve Smith passed out 10 assists.

Riverdale gets BVC split

ARLINGTON — After going winless in Blanchard Valley Conference matches last season, Riverdale already has its first BVC golf win of this year, splitting a tri-match Tuesday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. Defending champion Van Buren scored a 170 to take the win, but the Falcons came away 197-215 winners against North Baltimore.

Mohawk downs Crawford

GALION — The Mohawk boys golf team got its first dual win of the season and kept Colonel Crawford winless with a 208-218 victory Tuesday at Valley View Golf Course. Freshman Kael Margraf medaled for the Warriors (1-1, 1-1 N10) with a 47, with Austin Tusing adding a 50. Evan Kuenzli shot a 54, and Reese Hannam added a 57. Owen England (58) and Zach King (60) also played.

Royals force 4th set but fall to Bucks

BUCYRUS — Wynford managed to force a fourth set but Buckeye Central prevailed 25-14, 25-11, 25-27, 25-16 in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night at Wynford. Lainey Holman led the Royals (1-2, 0-1 N10) with 11 kills, while Averi McMillan and Lyndie Williams had eight each. McMillan added 14 assists, with Maddie Johnson finishing with a team-best 15 assists.

Amert scores for Upper in loss at Edison

MILAN — Luke Amert scored a late goal for Upper Sandusky but Edison proved too much in a 5-1 boys soccer victory Tuesday evening. Sudesh Grafmiller assisted on the goal with 21:05 remaining. The game was called about a minute later because of weather.
